Terms and Conditions

Please read all of the terms and conditions detailed below prior to registering with Bél Dyés Mas for Notting Hill Carnival or prior to purchasing other items of wear or goods.

By registering with Bél Dyés Mas you (the masquerader) are agreeing to be bound to the terms and conditions set out below and as stated on this site.

This policy may be subject to change, thus do review the terms periodically.

 

Notting Hill Carnival Registration

Registration for Notting Hill Carnival is complete once a (non-refundable) deposit has been made in full and the registration form has been completed and submitted.

After the deposit payment has been made, you are then required to pay off your balance in full by the specified payment deadlines.

Payment deadlines will be confirmed via email and also on this website.

There are limited individual carnival costume spaces available for registration. If you would like one of these costumes please do contact us via our email address to register your interest. Please note that these spaces are limited.

Notting Hill Carnival Further payments

Further payments can be made to Bél Dyés Mas via the following means:

Electronic bank transfer - Details will be forwarded to masqueraders upon registration

PayPal - Details will be forwarded to masqueraders upon registration (fees may apply)

Debit Card Payments – These can be made in person – Please contact us for availability.

Please note that we do not accept payments made by cheque.

You will receive a confirmation after each payment has been made and also when payment has been made in full.

Do note that all further payments should be accompanied with your original booking reference.

We will not be able to match payments that have no reference.

Bél Dyés Mas is not responsible for any payments that are not accompanied with a booking reference.

Important disclaimer: All initial deposits are non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this policy

 

Notting Hill Carnival Payment policy:

Registration is only complete after the deposit has been made in full and the registration form has been completed and submitted.

Deposits must be paid in full at registration, otherwise your order will be cancelled.

Partial deposit payments are not accepted and are also non-refundable.

Costumes remain the property of Bél Dyés Mas until paid for in full and collected.

Costumes will only be made available to masqueraders once all payments have been made in full.

 

Notting Hill Carnival Costume Distribution

Masqueraders will be notified of the time and location of distribution for Notting Hill Carnival via email.

If you are unable to collect your carnival costume in person, please email us with the name of the nominated/ authorised person who will be collecting your costume.

A costume distribution schedule will be emailed to all masqueraders. The distribution schedule will also be advertised on our website and on our social media platforms.

Masqueraders will be able to collect their costume during the specified date and time of the distribution schedule.

Different sections will have differing distribution dates and or times.

The final day in which carnival costumes will be available for collection will be the Thursday before Notting Hill carnival Sunday and Monday.  After this date costumes that have not been collected will not be available for collection.

You can collect your costume on any date after your designated collection day, but this must be before the Thursday before carnival

 

How to authorise someone else to collect your Notting Hill Carnival costume:

If you cannot collect your costume in person, you will need to contact us immediately to inform us of this via email.

Please ensure to provide us with the name of the nominated person who will be collecting your costume.

In order to collect the item, the nominated person will need to provide a valid proof of their ID and your confirmation of purchase.

The nominated person will only be able to collect the costume(s) on the designated distribution dates.

Distribution dates will be communicated in due course.

The nominated person will need to inspect the goods on receipt and sign to confirm receipt of the items are complete and in order as purchased.

 

Notting Hill Carnival costume Transfers

Bél Dyés Mas does not facilitate costume transfers to another person.

If you are unable to collect your purchased carnival costume in person, please email us to let us know the name of the nominated person who will be collecting the costume. They will need to provide ID in order to collect.

However, if there is capacity in another section of Bel Dyes Mas, it is at the discretion of management to amend your registration order. Please note that spaces are limited in each section and once a section has been sold out no switches can be made.

 

Shipping

With the exception of carnival costumes, items will be shipped to the address provided on purchase. Please be aware that shipping costs may be applicable for international customers, for a small fee.

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you require a return, the cost of returning your item will be deducted from any refunds due.

 

Notting Hill Carnival Costume Returns

Bél Dyés Mas Carnival costumes for Notting Hill Carnival or any other carnival are not eligible for return.

Bél Dyés Mas does not facilitate the changing of sections after registration has been completed.

If you have provided the correct sizing details and your costume does not fit, then we will assist in resizing your costume at no extra cost to you, the masquerader.

If you provide the incorrect sizing details when registering with Bél Dyés Mas,  Bél Dyés Mas will not be responsible for resizing or the replacement of items. For a fee, we will however, facilitate any alterations. The cost of any alterations will include any shipping etc and will be confirmed via email to the masquerader. We will not be able to facilitate any alterations or amendments to costumes that have been damaged after being collected and we will not be able to facilitate any costume alterations in the days before Notting Hill Carnival.

 

Other item Returns

You have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a refund or return. After this date, items are not eligible for a return or refund.

Proof of purchase must be provided in order for items to be eligible for return.

Do note that, other festival wear, accessories and other items purchased are eligible for a return or refund if they meet the criteria.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and also in the original packaging.

If you have provided the correct sizing details and your item of wear do not fit, then we will assist in resizing your item at no extra cost to you, the customer.

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will notify you that we have received your returned item.

We will notify you on the status of your refund after inspection of the item. Inspection of the item will take place within 48 hours of it being received.

Deposits are non-refundable for carnival costumes.

There are no exceptions to this policy in regards to the refund of deposits for Notting Hill carnival costumes or for deposits made for other carnival costumes.

Deposits are not required for the purchase of other festival wear or the purchase of other items of stock. If a deposit is required prior to the commencement of work, you will be notified accordingly, or this will be made clear at the point of initial purchase.

 

Other information

Your carnival costume purchase with Bél Dyés entitles you to entry in the band on carnival Monday only, with our host band Funatik Mas.

Notting Hill Carnival Masqueraders will be notified of the band departure time and meeting point via email, we will also provide this information to you at your costume collection.

Music policy: Some of the best DJ’s playing the best in soca and sounds of the Caribbean.

Only registered masqueraders will be allowed entry to the band on carnival Monday.

Security: Security will be around for the entire day to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience
